In COM references (Project -> Add References.), I cannot see the FlashBroker entry that you mentioned, but I have the FlashAccessibility entry that is also present in your screenshot and I have the Shockwave Flash entry I mentioned earlier. I'm still not sure why the Flash installer for Firefox did not register the ActiveX Control (if you do, please share), but my problem seems to have been resolved.
